My name is Laura McCoy. I was referred to you by my daughter, Alissa McCoy who worked for you a couple years ago as an intern with your firm.
I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that I am a Legal Nurse Consultant that works on Long-Term-Care cases. Currently, I a review cases for merit and provide chronologies for medical records. I also can provide medical research, and expert witness location for testimony.
Due to the recent developments of the Covid 19 Virus, CMS has stopped the survey process of long term care facilities, and has recommended that families not visit their loved ones. As a former nursing home surveyor, I am concerned that the level of care provided will be substandard without the usual oversight by surveyors and family members. I firmly believe that there will be an influx of long-term care cases coming down the road once all of this plays out.
